Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing a Day in the Life of Swizz Beatz for Billboard. It was a really amazing day – we began at a Music Unites event at the Intrepid, which is devoted to creating and continuing music education in underfunded schools. We spent time at his recording studio, stopped by an art gallery, got dinner, and finished the day backstage at VH1′s Save the Music event at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. Here’s a quick behind-the-scenes photo with Waka Flocka Flame, Swizz Beatz, and French Montana.

2NE1 Photo shoot and documentary photos for Billboard

Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing K-pop sensation 2NE1 for Billboard. I shot them backstage on Friday night at their first US show, at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. I photographed them rehearsing, preparing for the show, all the way to them running on stage. Then on Monday, I had a photo shoot with them at Billboard studios, and shot lots of gorgeous portraits of the band. It’s easy to see why they are quickly taking over the world! Awesome music and amazing girls.

And a quick behind-the-scenes photo from our shoot at Billboard studios:

Day in the Life: One Direction, Billboard

Yesterday, I photographed One Direction for Billboard, as a “Day in the Life” piece. You can check out the full gallery here on Billboard. The entire day was so much fun. I documented them on the day of their album release for Up All Night. I love shooting a band on the day of their album release, because it’s such a celebration, and it feels a little bit like being part of music history. There were literally thousands of screaming fans filling all 4 floors of the mall — the girls LOVE them!! And after spending the day with them, I can see why – they are such funny, kind, and sincere guys, and they truly deserve all of the success that’s happening for them.

Behind-the-scenes: Betty Wright photo shoot, RollingStone.com

[ Betty Wright: Photos by www.DianaLevine.com ] A few days ago, Rolling Stone premiered an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of my album cover shoot for Betty Wright and The Roots for their album “Betty Wright: The Movie” — it’s beyond an honor to be featuring on RollingStone.com, and in the company of such a legend. You can watch the whole video online here.

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (Behind the scenes with Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr)

[ Photos by http://www.dianalevine.com ] Yesterday, I shot backstage at the Victoria’s Secret 2011 Fashion Show for Celebuzz. It was quite an adventure! Some of my photos of Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr are above, and you can check more out at Celebuzz. It was awesome to feel all of the energy and excitement before the show, and to see how all of the angels get ready!
Day in the Life: Jason Derulo

[ Photos by DianaLevine.com ] Last month, I shot a photo and video documentary “Day in the Life: Jason Derulo” for Aol Music. This was my third time working with Jason and his team (my first shoot with him was last year in NYC, the second was for a few days in Dallas, TX before the Superbowl). He is always so sweet, and it’s always an adventure
Part of the day included a “flash-mob” in front of Fuse, and it was wild to see people’s reaction to him suddenly performing on the street with the Knicks dancers. By the time it was over, it was pretty much chaos trying to get back into the Fuse building, with fans going crazy. We did the shoot on the same day his new album Future History was released, which you can buy online here.

Behind-the-scenes: Jersey Shore / Just Dance 3 MTV Promo with Snooki and Ronnie

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos I shot last month on set for the commercial for Jersey Shore / Just Dance 3, featuring Snooki and Ronnie, airing now on MTV. The spot was directed by E.J. McLeavey-Fisher, produced by Veronica Balta, and DP’d by Matt Workman. This shoot was such a fun day! Always love seeing my film buddies, and it didn’t hurt that I got to dance to the new Just Dance 3 game! If you look closely at the final commercial, which you can watch online here, that’s me dancing with some friends in the close up of the video game!
Sadly, I did not win, but I’m pretty sure that after some more practice, I could kick some butt.

Day in the Life: Luke Bryan

Earlier this month, I shot a Day in the Life: Luke Bryan. I was shooting both photos and a video, starting the day at Live with Regis & Kelly. It was so much fun to see behind-the-scenes of what goes into a live TV show, all of the energy and excitement. We continued along on the rest of his day, from meeting fans on the street, to getting cheesecake at one of his favorite places, Junior’s. We finished up the day by going to Best Buy and picking up a copy of his new album, Tailgates and Tanlines. A guy after my own heart — he used a coupon! I had such a blast with Luke, Contessa Gayles (who wrote the article on TheBoot), his whole label, crew, and band, and everyone at Live with Regis and Kelly. Awesome people, amazing energy, and tons of laughter. [ Photos and video by http://www.dianalevine.com ]
Miami travel pics

Just got back from a whirlwind few days of shooting in Miami. I originally was supposed to fly in for one shoot, and then fly back the next day. But, while I was there, I got booked on a another, separate album cover shoot in Miami, so ended up changing travel plans last minute and putting this other shoot together as well. It was totally crazy, but totally wonderful. I had such a blast on both shoots, met incredible people that truly touched my life, and loved shooting on location in Miami. Hardly got any sleep, but worth it! I flew back to NYC, and ended up going straight to another album cover shoot here in NY. Literally ran home, showered, changed clothes, and headed back out. Can’t wait to post photos from these shoots!
Hoodie Allen “Leap Year” Album Cover and Packaging

Earlier this month, I shot the album cover + album art for Hoodie Allen’s new album “Leap Year” — it was just released, and you can listen/download it online (free!). It was a blast working with Hoodie, Michael and the rest of his team — such awesome+talented people to hang out with, and we had some wild adventures together, shooting his promo photos and album cover in Jersey, Coney Island, and Long Island.
