Last week, I photographed Conor Maynard for Rolling Stone. I had such a blast with him and his crew and label! You can check out the gallery on RollingStone.com here. He is such a funny, kind person and has a true love of his work, his fans, and his favorite foods! He just released an album, Contrast. We spent the day doing interviews with Fuse, Music Choice, and more, and ended the day at his sold-out show at Webster Hall.

At the end of last year, I had the pleasure of photographing Tegan and Sara for Billboard’s Candid Covers series. I photographed T&S a few years back, with Hayley Williams of Paramore, in Long Island, so it was a blast to catch up with them and hear about all their adventures. In addition to being ridiculously talented, these girls are hilarious, kind, and a blast to be around.

Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of photographing The Script for Billboard. I ended up shooting them 2 days in a row, for different publications, so it was a very Script-filled week! A couple weeks ago, I shot this photo and video documentary about Jason Derulo for AOL Music/PopEater.com. At only 20 years old, he’s a total superstar. I’m sure you’ve heard his song Whatcha Say (the remix of the Imogen Heap song) and his new single, Ridin’ Solo. Not only does he have his own larger-than-life career (even broke the record as the first male artist to have his first 2 singles go #1), he’s written songs for Diddy, Danity Kane, Sean Kingston, and more (thanks to Emily Tan for writing the great article with the piece!) On top of all of this, he is absolutely the sweetest guy. He really wants to make the world a better place through his music, and I think he’s going to.

Behind the scenes: Music Video for “Slow Down” by Fat Foe, Featuring Young Jeezy

Here are some documentary photos from our music video shoot a couple days ago for Fat Joe featuring Young Jeezy “Slow Down” with a guest appearance from P Diddy. The video was directed by Parris and DP’d by Matt. It was an overnight shoot, started at 6:00pm and ended at 6:00am. We got home around 7:00am the next morning, and took a quick nap before starting the next day. It was a really fun shoot, at Talay uptown. A lot of car shots, jib from the wonderful Adam with Black Dog Jib, and more. Always awesome to work with Frank, John, Tony, Brendan, Parris, Nigel, Adam, Tracey, and everyone else on the video.

Yesterday, I shot press photos for TopShop’s new New York City promotion. It took place outside, and it was freezing! I’m definitely a winter girl, but I was shivering. All in all, it was a really fun day, and a cool promotion/great company.

My photos of New Kids on the Block went live on PopEater.com today – and I was absolutely blown away by the response of their fans. Literally within seconds of going live, my twitter went bananas. Within an hour or two, I had hundreds of messages from their fans, telling me how much they loved the photos – it was incredible. The shoot was a blast: I photographed and filmed NKOTB on set at the Today Show, doing interviews for OK! Magazine, People Magazine, US Weekly, the AP, Taxi TV, and more. It was unbelievable how many girls start screaming when they walk by, and even more unbelievable how amazing they are to their fans – if they are able, they stop, sign autographs, take photos, and never brush anyone off.

All five guys are great – I’m from Boston as well, so it was fun reminiscing about all of our favorites things in Boston. I love working with artists like New Kids on the Block, who are filled with such positivity, such energy, and such love for what they do and for their fans.

The “Day in the Life” shoots are such an incredible experience. Between the photos, the video, and the article, it really is a very intimate look at what a day is like for a popular artist.
