2025 Editorial Mini Sessions
Editorial Mini Sessions are 15 minute or 1 hour sessions for headshots, branding photos, or family portraits! The looks are based off of my work as a magazine photographer—I use the same backdrops and lighting that I use when photographing magazine covers and feature stories! The sessions are tailored around your needs—they can be booked for headshots, branding photos, movement (dance, fitness, style), maternity photos, children’s portraits or family portraits!

On-Site Photo Selections
After your session, you will be able to review your portraits on the computer and choose your final photos immediately after your session! On-site photo selections are ideal, because you can see your photos as we’re taking them—and you get the final photos faster than by waiting for proofs!
Pricing
15 minute session (1 backdrop color): $100 sitting fee. Photos ordered separately (10 for $225 or 20 for $400).
1 hour session (2 backdrop colors): $1500, which comes with 20 retouched photos.
*Pricing is valid for sessions booked in August 2025 only and may change after that time period.
Should I sign up for 15 minutes or 1 hour?
15 minutes is great for anyone who needs headshots and marketing photos, wearing 1 or 2 outfits, on 1 backdrop color. However, if you’d like to do 3+ outfits, spend some more time on posing and props—and photograph on 2 different backdrop colors, a Full 1 Hour Session is perfect for you.
Who are Editorial Mini Sessions for?
Editorial Mini Sessions are for anyone who wants a magazine-style portrait! They are great for anyone looking for branding portraits, marketing photos for their personal brand, and professionals of all kinds, including business owners, fitness instructors, stylists, entrepreneurs, realtors, attorneys, medical professionals, creatives, consultants, speakers, models, actors, and more. But, you don’t need a “reason” to join for a Mini Session—anyone can join for a beautiful editorial style portrait!
Do you help with posing?
One of the questions I am asked most frequently is “I’ve never done a photo shoot before—will you help me with posing” and the answer is: Yes! Before each session, we talk about what kind of posing you’re interested in, and then I help guide you through a variety of poses during your session. I also bring a “Posing Board” to use as a visual reference, so that you have a quick “Menu” of posing options to look at during your session.
Do the Mini Sessions come with hair and make up?
No, the Editorial Mini Sessions do not come with hair and make up. However, I often refer clients to hair and make up artists. My recommendations:
Catherine Maloy, founder of Cocotree Kids, a 501(c)3 charity
Are the photos digital or prints?
The final photos that will be delivered to you are high-resolution digital images. I don’t do any printing.
Jackie Bowden, dancer, choreographer and director of Mini Movers Studio in Charlestown, MA
Where are the studios?
I work with several studio locations in the Metrowest Boston area. When you sign up for your Mini Session, I will share the location for the dates you’re interested in. I regularly have clients join from Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Brookline, Waltham, Dover, Natick, Wayland, Sudbury, Cambridge, Arlington, Somerville, Wakefield, Reading, Cohasset, Hingham, Hopkinton, Holliston, South Boston, West Roxbury, and more.
